Mitsubishi WD-73738 73-Inch 3D DLP HDTV I originally purchased the (Mitsubishi Model #73738); however, Paul’s TV had a deal going on that I was unaware of at the time. They upgraded me to the (Mitsubishi Model #73740)… I still haven’t complained!

The picture quality is UNREAL when you set the picture to your liking in the menu screen. I prefer setting the tv to BRIGHT and the light intensity to STANDARD. It made the colors a lot fuller and more vibrant; deeper blacks and whiter whites. I haven’t adjusted any of the advanced feature settings, and leave edge enhancement off. Also, with the speakers, they sound tinny until you set the sound to SURROUND, and have the sound projection set to LEVEL. It makes a HUGE difference. Also, if you hook up an Xbox 360 to this tv, make sure to set the display setting (on the XBox dashboard) to match your tv specs (i.e., size, resolution, reference levels, etc.) This makes a big difference in the picture quality. Adjusting the reference level makes a noticeable difference in the depth of color. I noticed deeper blacks when I set the reference level to expanded, and whiter whites when I set it to standard. Depending on the game I’m playing, I change it up. Use HDMI cables too.

I recommend buying this TV without hesitation! You will NOT be disappointed by the size and picture quality.

Still haven’t tried the 3D yet, but looking forward to it!
