The water reservoir can be taken out so you can bring it to the sink to fill, no more spilling water on the counter trying to aim water in a small opening. It has automatic shut off but you have to set it to turn off in 1-3 hrs once you set it, it will automatically shut off at the hours set.

Make sure you do this or you will smell burnt coffee, especially if there is maybe just a little coffee left in maker, I think the default was 3hrs when I found this out. I set mine to shut off at 1hr. A blue light shows that it’s on. I am so happy with this coffee maker. The area your cup sit in is not very big but that’s okay with me, it fits all my small to extra medium mugs. If you want bigger go with the Cuisinart SS700. The SS700 will be my next coffee maker I want when this one is worn out. I love Cusinart!!!

The granularity of controls is fantastic. I like to make about 5 “cups” for myself. Sometimes I forget the coffee is in there and after the better part of a day, it was *still* hot and fresh.

I agree it’s trying to do a bit too much. It is a rather large appliance, so be prepared for that. I tried different intensity settings and I found one which seems to work. Usually I like “dark” coffee, but the full intensity setting didn’t taste right. But two notches down? Yes. That’s it.

If Breville is listening, I think it would be better to have more buttons and fewer menus. The device should offer ground granularity. I think the grind is too coarse and would prefer a more espresso like grind for flavor.

It’s a bit like a pet. It takes up space, it requires care and attention, but it provides a constant stream of loving hot coffee. The more I use this, the more I love it.

I was able to get it inside my house, and set it up without any help from the husband. (If you watch the short “Set Up” video instructions, it will take about 5 minutes to set up.) I would say the board is perfect for my height, not sure it would work for those who are very tall though. It is comfortable to use, just keep your hair up ladies! I have been enjoying trying out all of the exercises with the handy training deck -those cards are so helpful! And the accessories are awesome!

I am already getting use from all of them. I can definitely see myself purchasing more such as the AbCrunch, Weight Bar, Dip Bar, and Pilates Kit. Overall, this is a well rounded piece of equipment. My results have inspired my friends and family. My Neighbor and my brother now own a total gym. I also purchased the bike attachment to use mainly for cardio in the winter. I prefer to work out on the total gym 2-3 times per week and do cardio on the in between days. however the bike attachment has to hook up to the total gym. I don’t really like setting up the gym if I am not really going to use it, so I made a free standing “stand” for the bike.

I can use it on any carpeted surfaces. The stand is made out of wood, I put putruding screws on the bottom, to grip the carpet. I use it sitting in an office chair, kitchen chair, even watching TV in my recliner chair. I believe total gym should make an optional stand. It would be great for elderly, handicapped….anyone who is able to sit in a chair and peddle. Just my opinion anyway.
